India-SA biz ties will flourish’

Johannesburg, May 27 2008: Indian and South African businesses see huge investment opportunities that could be mutually beneficial, says a survey that also highlights unique challenges in the two countries that need to be overcome. These are the findings of the PricewaterhouseCoopers' survey, 'Trade winds - Setting sail for investment opportunities in South Africa and India', which was released here Tuesday.

Bihar open for Investment-Nitish Kumar

 

 

Port Louis, Mauritius: The Chief Minister of the Indian state of Bihar, Honourable Nitish kumar arrived in Mauritius for a weeklong official visit, on Thursday, July 26. He was at the head of a 15-member delegation in the context of the celebration of the Indian Diaspora Week, celebrated by the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO).

 

At a business meeting organised by GOPIO, under the theme “ Invest in Bihar” at the Grand Bay conference centre on Monday, July 30, Mr Nitish Kumar addressed the gathering of ministers, businessmen and government officials on the vast business opportunities offered by the state of Bihar to foreign investors.

India and South Africa continue to share the same frequency when it comes to bilateral relationship, and the present visit of Indian Prime Minister to South Africa is no exception. Hardcore diplomacy, goodwill born of a shared heritage and business, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh packed it all on Monday - Mahatma Gandhi's 137th birth anniversary - as he wrapped up his South Africa visit with the two countries signing two pacts and deciding to explore ways to collaborate in civilian nuclear energy.
